Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking an Information Systems Communications Analyst II to support CHYM and the Metro network infrastructure. The role focuses on operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network equipment and applications, collaborating with CHYM Architects to ensure designs align with operations.

Responsibilities include incident resolution, documentation, and field support across Nashville.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in design, installation and maintenance of communications systems and networks.
• Experience with enterprise networking equipment and OSI Layer 1–3 troubleshooting.
• CCNA or comparable networking certification is a plus.
• Valid Driver License required or encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supports CHYM Transportation Network and Metro network environment to maintain reliable operation.
• Performs moves, adds, changes, and deletes for network and telecom services.
• Troubleshoots network applications and services across Layers 1–3 of the OSI model.
• Coordinates with architects, ITS teams, and vendors to support implementation and operations.
• Creates clear technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Drives to various Nashville locations to provide on-site network support.
