Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Network Integration Engineer in Huntsville, AL to configure, secure, test, document, and deploy networked systems for UAS training simulators. The role blends hardware rack integration, network configuration, OS administration, cybersecurity implementation, and testing.

Responsibilities include installing rack-mounted servers and network devices, configuring TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules, and supporting 802.1X NAC and STIG compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline with 5 years' experience; 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
• Hands-on experience integrating, installing, and troubleshooting networked hardware and lab environments (servers, switches, routers, firewalls, workstations).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network security (IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, ACLs, firewall configuration).
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST SP 800-53, STIGs) and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to document results and create/maintain network diagrams and test reports.

Responsibilities

• Install, mount, cable, label, and organize servers, network devices, power equipment in racks.
• Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, including IP addressing, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, ACLs, firewall rules.
• Configure network authentication and NAC technologies (IEEE 802.1X, NAC solutions).
• Install, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Enterprise Linux systems.
• Maintain configuration baselines and control throughout lab integration and deployment.
• Execute functional, regression, connectivity, and performance tests to verify interoperability.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software/cabling/network failures; document root cause and corrective actions.
• Support STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint configuration documentation.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, rack elevations, and installation/test reports.
• Coordinate with systems engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, and field support to resolve issues and prepare delivery.
