Job summary

i3 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support Army Aviation systems integration, interoperability testing, and cybersecurity at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The role focuses on secure lab infrastructure, virtualization, and IaC to modernize test environments.

You will maintain networks and compute resources, support RMF/ATO activities, and collaborate with government customers and engineering teams to ensure secure, repeatable interoperability testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline is required.
• 10+ years of relevant network engineering, systems administration or cybersecurity experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Layer 2/3 networking, routing, VLANs, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration and virtualization (VMware/Proxmox/KVM).
• Experience with RMF/ATO, vulnerability management, STIGs, and configuration docs.
• Active SECRET clearance and DoD cybersecurity certification (IAT II preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot secure network and compute infrastructure for labs.
• Support interoperability testing of Army Aviation, C5ISR, and tactical systems.
• Assist RMF/ATO, vulnerability management, STIG compliance, patching, and documentation.
• Maintain network architecture, baselines, diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
• Develop automation scripts and IaC to improve test and cybersecurity activities.
• Coordinate with government customers, cybersecurity personnel, and engineering teams.
