Job summary

Leidos at Hill AFB, Utah, seeks an Implementations/Activations Network Engineer to oversee installation, configuration, testing, monitoring and activation of DISN networks for DoD projects. This role requires U.S.

citizenship and an active Secret clearance. You will coordinate with customers and architects, manage service orders, configure devices, and ensure changes meet DISA standards while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s with less than 2 years.
• Active Secret security clearance required; DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 baseline (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience with DISA networks, TSOs/TSRs, and DISA processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer coordination and initial test/acceptance (IT&A) for new service activations.
• Collaborate with customers, solution architects and SMEs to implement changes and resolve issues.
• Manage Service Orders per Change Management procedures.
• Ensure TSOs are in place for scheduled network changes and activations.
• Configure network devices using configlets; analyze DISN data to meet requirements.
• Design and implement solutions for technical problems via testing and documented configurations.
• Coordinate activation with vendors to ensure end-to-end connectivity.
• Monitor networks to assess impact of changes on traffic per requirements.
• Engage with DISA project managers to resolve unclear requirements and obtain approvals.
