Job summary

Global Communications Services in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Network/Hardware Support Tech to maintain and troubleshoot DoD IT infrastructure, supporting over 2,200 users and thousands of devices at JBSA Lackland.

You will train end users, perform hardware/software/network maintenance, install VPNs and wireless capability, handle ticketing with Remedy, and respond to console errors to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in computer system/network support.
• Two years’ experience with PC Network, Windows OS and Active Directory.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GIC SP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Train users on hardware/software products and resolve malfunctions.
• Maintain hardware/software/network systems and perform maintenance tasks.
• Support 2,200+ users and 5,000+ pieces of equipment at JBSA Lackland.
• Manage Remedy tickets and update resolutions.
• Install VPN, test wireless capability, and replace printers if needed.
• Respond to console errors and isolate causes.
