Job summary
General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Network Engineer SME to support USPACOM J6, focusing on Mission Partner Environment engineering planning and development at Camp Smith, HI. You will translate partner requirements into actionable network plans and drive secure, modernized IT integration across the Pacific.
The role demands 10+ years in network engineering (or 14+ years without a degree), IAT III compliance, and active Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience with required years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate across teams.
- Active Secret clearance and IAT Level III or higher preferred.
Responsibilities
- Translate mission partner requirements into executable network plans and designs.
- Develop and review network diagrams, implementation plans and technical docs.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate resolutions across engineering and partner teams.
- Prepare briefings and status inputs for leadership and customers.
- Collaborate with USPACOM J6 stakeholders, service components, and partners to resolve technical challenges.
