Job summary

Gotham Technology Group in New York City is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support an enterprise-grade network and related systems. You will manage LAN/WAN/WLAN, VoIP, VPNs, and firewalls while ensuring security and performance in a 5-day on-site role.

The candidate should have 5+ years in network design and administration, hands-on Cisco IOS experience, VMware, and AD/Windows expertise. On-call rotations and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN, BGP/OSPF routing.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and Cisco VoIP.
• Working knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, AD, VMware, Windows Server.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure and security.
• Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, software, and firewalls.
• Administer servers, OS, databases, and data transfer processes.
• Provide end-user technical support and on-call rotations.
• Develop documentation and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with IT teams to meet business needs and SLAs.
• Coordinate deployments and user acceptance testing.
• Travel occasionally for off-site installations.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting equipment.
