Job summary

KnitWell Group in New York, NY is seeking a Network Engineer to deliver Tier 1/2 support for enterprise networks from Times Square Tower. You will maintain and troubleshoot campus connectivity, configure routers/switches, and collaborate with Network Engineering on projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in enterprise network support, CCNA or equivalent, and hands-on experience with routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP), VPNs, and Cisco devices.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of enterprise network support/engineering experience.
• Experience with routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Hands-on with Cisco Catalyst switching and network devices.
• Experience with VPN technologies (IPsec and SSL).
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Onsite five days per week at Times Square NYC.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 network support for local and remote users.
• Collaborate with Client Services to resolve connectivity issues and reduce repeats through documentation.
• Support Network Engineering with maintenance, MDF/IDF cleanup, and readiness activities.
• Install, configure, validate, and support routers, switches, wireless APs, cabling, VLANs, and related components.
• Apply routing protocols to implement, validate, and troubleshoot in production networks.
• Participate in design discussions, testing, and change documentation for projects.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, diagrams, and inventories for network assets.
• Manage network support tickets, prioritize issues, and escalate when needed.
• Provide after-hours support for maintenance windows and outages.
