Job Description
Network Engineer
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases, designing communication networks within an organization or between organizations
- Ensuring the integrity and high availability of the network infrastructure
- Establishing a networking environment by defining, implementing, documenting, and enforcing system standards
- Securing the network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
- Supporting and administering firewall environments in line with IT security policy
- Configuring routing and switching equipment
- Supporting NOC and on‑site engineers
- Troubleshooting and fault finding when issues arise
- Fulfilling ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the company
- Contributing to the definition and implementation of project best practices and quality processes
- Liaising with external providers when network management is outsourced
Location & Work Arrangement
Full Time, Hybrid Position to be filled in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Candidate must be able to reliably commute daily.
Availability for travel may be required after gaining sufficient knowledge.

Qualifications
- Fundamental understanding of and hands‑on experience with network technologies, including firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (VNETs, NSGs, Azure Firewall, UDR, VPN, Load Balancing methods, VNet Peering, Hub‑Spoke Architecture, Monitor)
- Proven hands‑on experience with Fortinet firewalls or assimilated products
- Or proven experience with Netscaler Load Balancers or assimilated products
- Thorough knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, VPN, BGP, SD‑WAN
- Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, and/or DHCP servers
- Experience supporting and administering Load balancers, Proxy, reverse Proxy, Firewalls, Routers, Switches
- Proven experience in incident management, service request management, and troubleshooting using RCA techniques
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Outstanding English language written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
Optional Requirements
- Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring and management tools
- Experience installing and troubleshooting WiFi networks
- Working knowledge of public DNS zones and Global Servers Load Balancing (Traffic Manager)
- Cloud hands‑on experience (Azure)
- Certification in Networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, Juniper JNCIA)
Education Level
Recent college graduate (BA) or high school graduate with sufficient industry/field experience.
