Jovian Concepts, LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Network Engineer Level 3 to join our national security focused team. • Strong Cisco/Arista configuration and firewall experience.

Job Description

Jovian Concepts, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer Level 3 for an exciting opportunity in the Annapolis Junction, MD area . At Jovian Concepts, our people drive our success. Clearance Requirement: A current and active TS/SCI clearance with a Maryland (MD) polygraph is required for consideration. CCA candidates will not be considered for this position at this time.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team that will configure systems and support them in person or remotely while fielding any new gear
• Additionally, you will be responsible for on going Networking support to include firewall and Crypto gear
• Utilize JIRA for ticketing
• Work in lab environments in support of new systems and upgrading configs
• A substantial amount of time will be spent on SSP compliance work

Requirements

Clearance Requirement: A current and active TS/SCI clearance with a Maryland (MD) polygraph is required for consideration. CCA candidates will not be considered for this position at this time.

Qualifications

• AMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and trainingcommensuratewith network engineering curriculum.
• In lieu of aMaster’sdegree, aBachelor’sdegree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and anadditionaltwo (2) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support for a total of twelve (12) years.
• In lieu of aMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree an additional six (6)years experienceproviding Network Engineering support and a Certification in an industry standard (Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing and Switching)) may be substituted for a total of 16 years.
• An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level I baseline certification as definedby DoD 8570.01-M isrequired or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
  

Required Skills

• The ideal candidate for this position must have significant Cisco and Arista Configuration and sustainment experience.
  
• Experience with Firewalls.
• Required to travel occasionally/as needed to OCONUS locations and be on-call for Operational systems (once up to speed)
  

Desired Skills

• Experience with Network design
• Experience working in the cloud or with Hyperconverged infrastructure and containerized environments
  
• Familiar with Latte ‘Art and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.
