Job summary

Jovian Concepts, LLC seeks a Systems Administrator Level 3 in Annapolis Junction, MD to support mission-critical IT systems.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with Maryland polygraph, 15+ years SA experience, and a technical degree. You will manage Linux/Windows environments, virtualization, storage, security compliance, and incident response while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in similar programs is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5 years of additional SA experience may substitute for degree.
• IAT level II baseline certification per DoD 8570.01-M required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Linux administration experience and strong STE/STN compliance background.
• Storage management familiarity (CFS/DFS, NetApp).
• Virtualization experience (Proxmox, RH KVM, VMware).
• IP networking and firewall experience.
• Automation tools (Ansible, Salt).
• Scripting skills (bash, python, perl)

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages LINUX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

• Experience with the following: LINUX, containerization, KVM virtualization, Ansible/SALT automation
• Great deal of experience with SSP compliance, maintaining STE/STN compliance and support on Linux systems, managing accounts, network rights, access to systems and equipment and implementing security procedures and tools. Configure and install systems hardware or software and maintain server and domain security requirements.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets

• Configure and manage LINUX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
