Job summary

Aalo Atomics in Austin, TX is seeking a Network Engineer / Systems Support to maintain our LAN/WAN, support OT interfaces, and deliver reliable IT services. You will configure switches/routers, provide end-user helpdesk support, and work with vendors to secure and optimize our network.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in network engineering, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Cisco gear, and cloud networking familiarity; on-site presence in Austin is required, with a proactive, hands-on mindset and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering, systems support, IT infrastructure, or related roles.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking.
Experience providing technical support for end users, devices, and business systems.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic IT environment.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, and support local and wide area network infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable operations.
Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis for outages or performance concerns.
Configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and related network equipment.
Provide help‑desk support for hardware, software, connectivity, and general technical issues.
Support endpoint management, including device deployment, configuration, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting.
Maintain user accounts, system access, and related IT support functions as assigned.
Support network security, segmentation, access controls, and general cybersecurity best practices.
Assist with upgrades, migrations, patches, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Maintain network and system documentation, diagrams, configurations, and standard procedures.
Coordinate with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and service providers as needed.
Support network environments that interface with operational technology (OT) systems while maintaining appropriate security and segmentation controls.
