Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Network Engineer Level II–IV. You will support the HQ network operations, including WAN, LAN, VoIP, WLAN, and telecommunications, ensuring secure, reliable services across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, installing and configuring hardware/software, and participating in 24/7 on-call rotations. U.S. citizenship and applicable IA certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of general IT experience with emphasis on network/telecommunications systems.
• Specialized experience includes WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, and network devices.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a favorable ANACI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support WAN/LAN, VoIP, WLAN, and telecom technologies for enterprise sites.
• Assist in day-to-day network operations and cable plant installation and maintenance.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain security and integrity of network systems per RMF, STIGs/PCI controls.
• Document configurations and respond to 24/7 on-call rotations.
