Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Network Engineer 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in the United States.

The role focuses on designing, engineering, integrating, operating and maintaining electronic security services for federal, local and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining secure networks, a clear understanding of ITIL concepts, and proficiency in network architecture, testing and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years progressive experience in networking or related field.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and security considerations for network solutions.
• Knowledge of network concepts, tools, and architectures.
• Experience with project management and collaborative work environments.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports and site surveys to capture network requirements.
• Develop high level network architectures and assessment of alternatives.
• Install, configure, and maintain network architectures and devices.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and perform maintenance.
• Develop automation scripts for deploying networks
• Prepare design documents, test plans, and commissioning procedures
• Support a 24/7 on-call schedule
• Document procedures and report on network performance
