Job summary

Monroe County information services seeks a Network Infrastructure professional to administer and assist with the implementation and maintenance of its network infrastructure. You will work on LAN, WAN, Internet, and intranet infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and uptime for County departments and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years paid full-time or part-time equivalent experience in engineering, repair, administration, management, or monitoring a modern data network.
  • Associate's degree plus 4 years paid full-time or part-time equivalent experience as described above.
  • Six years paid full-time or part-time equivalent experience as described above.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, engineer, configure, maintain, and monitor LANs, WANs, Internet, and intranet infrastructure.
  • Provide technical and field support, including after-hours emergencies.
  • Coordinate with other teams and partners to maintain high network uptime and minimal operational impact.
  • Ensure reliability and performance to meet user and County needs.
