Job summary
University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a seasoned network professional to oversee the purchase, installation, and support of LAN/WAN systems. You will monitor the enterprise network, troubleshoot issues, and assist in large-scale projects with vendor comparisons and cost studies.
Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in LAN/WAN troubleshooting and configuration, with strong TCP/IP and security knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years troubleshooting and configuring LAN/WAN systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide network support for LAN/WAN wired and wireless infrastructure.
- Input to management for network design and procurement of equipment.
- Monitor the enterprise network for optimal performance.
- Perform equipment installations and relocations as required.
- Respond to user and vendor requests and resolve problems.
- Assist in growth planning and enterprise network management.
- Log service requests and update tickets with the Helpdesk.
- Analyze network traffic patterns to resolve connectivity issues.
- Maintain status updates with users and supervisor.
