Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is looking for a Network Engineer II responsible for planning and leading the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and at least 4 years of network administration experience, alongside CCNA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in a network administration role.
• CCNA required, CCNP preferred.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Fiber Channel equipment preferred.
• Experience with FortiGate firewalls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead installation, configuration, documentation, and maintenance of network infrastructure devices.
• Ensure high availability and security of network equipment.
• Conduct Business Recovery activities providing network redundancy.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve production issues.
• Work with Server Engineering on availability and security issues.
