Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is seeking a Team Lead Server Engineering to guide the Server Engineering team in researching and implementing new systems, while supporting existing infrastructure. The role ensures production environments stay available and drives improvements to backup and disaster recovery strategies.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Windows Server experience, with proven leadership of technology projects, strong AD knowledge, and solid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and in supporting server related infrastructure and software.
• Experience leading technology related projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
• Solid understanding of networking technologies, security administration, and backup & disaster recovery technologies and solutions.
• Proficient in LAN technologies and current corporate standard desktop productivity applications as well as project management and visual documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the Server Engineering team in the research and implementation of new systems and the support of existing systems.
• Lead in the development of technical recommendations to improve the technology environment and meet corporate goals, ensuring production environments are available and performing as expected.
• Plan and lead efforts to improve the business recovery environment and participate in semi-annual business recovery tests.

The Team Lead Server Engineering is responsible for planning and leading efforts to improve the business recovery environment, as well as leading and participating in the semi-annual business recovery tests.

Job‑Specific Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math or related field or equivalent experience required.
