Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer I to assist with design, configuration and implementation of enterprise networks. You will act as a technical consultant within project teams and help deliver networking solutions that meet organizational needs.

The role requires hands-on Cisco equipment experience, SD-WAN, VPNs, network security knowledge and strong documentation skills, plus the ability to collaborate with architects and operations staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 1+ years networking experience OR 3+ years enterprise networking experience.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or CWNA preferred.
• Knowledge of network security technologies including Palo Alto/Cisco Firepower and Cisco ISE.
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches (4500/Nexus 9K-2800/2900/4300).
• Familiarity with SD-WAN infrastructure and cloud-based security.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and implementation of large enterprise network solutions.
• Provide tier-3 level technical support to network operations.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects to evaluate new technologies.
• Support SD-WAN deployment and maintenance.
