Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Network Engineer in Washington, DC to design, integrate, and maintain secure, high‑performing enterprise networks across multiple sites. The role requires hands‑on experience with LAN/WAN, VPNs, and security controls.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years managing multi‑site networks, proficiency in routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies, and experience with VMware/Hyper‑V and hybrid clouds.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing enterprise networks in multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and wireless tech.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and hybrid clouds.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% across sites.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and integrate networks across multiple sites into a standardized enterprise architecture.
• Design, optimize, and support LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, wireless, and VPN solutions.
• Coordinate firewall, IPS, and access control initiatives with internal teams and MSPs.
• Lead network monitoring, incident response, and root‑cause analysis with documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and systems teams for scalable growth.
