Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer I to help design, implement, and support enterprise data networks across the organization. The role acts as a technical consultant within multiple project teams and delivers networking solutions to meet business needs.

The engineer will assist with design, provide tier-3 support, and develop comprehensive design documentation while collaborating with Solutions Architects and network operations to ensure smooth service transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of network engineering or 3+ years managing large enterprise networks.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or CWNA preferred.
• Hands-on with Cisco routers and switches; SD-WAN and WAN/LAN tech knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, design and implementation of large enterprise network solutions.
• Provide tier-3 support and collaborate with project teams to meet deliverables.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation for proposed solutions.
• Assist in evaluating new technologies and vendor selection.
• Support SD-WAN infrastructure deployment and maintenance (HPE Silver Peak, Cisco Meraki, Zscaler, Cisco ISE).
• Troubleshoot networking issues with strong customer service focus.
