Job summary

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is seeking a Network Engineer I to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficient operation of the property’s network systems. You will monitor, support, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure, addressing issues to maximize network performance.

The role requires technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities include handling a queue of requests, managing LAN and Wireless networks,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in MIS or equivalent technical program, or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to obtain Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other required certifications.
• 1+ years’ experience supporting enterprise networks and/or large data center environments.
• 1+ years’ experience with layer2/layer3 routing and switching on Cisco IOS or Data Center products.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a queue of work requests to meet service levels and KPI objectives.
• Administer LAN and Wireless networks including routers, switches, and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues for WAN, LAN, Internet, and end-user devices.
• Plan and implement network upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor patches.
• Coordinate with peers to implement server systems and ensure best practices.
