Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of networking protocols (OSI 2/3) at expert level.
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware for installation and maintenance.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and network performance assessment.
• Experience with Linux-based systems, scripting, and remote deployments.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain networking equipment to support data flow from 200+ remote field stations to data centers, on-prem and in AWS.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues; coordinate with collaborators and service providers.
• Manage security and firmware of networking equipment; work with vendors on complex issues.
• Coordinate network projects from design to deployment and documentation; test new network solutions.
• Provide expert advice on network solutions and collaborate with other units and external partners.
