Job summary

Request Technology, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to join a prestigious team focused on Cisco networking, Check Point, AWS, and Cisco NG ASA. The role involves supporting a hybrid environment with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, ensuring secure and scalable network operations in a large-scale enterprise.

You will handle lifecycle management of Cisco platforms (IOS/NX-OS/XR/FTD), firewall deployment, and cloud connectivity across AWS and Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in IT systems installation, operations and virtualization of servers/clouds.
• Strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF/ISIS and WAN/LAN/IP/IPAM/DNS concepts.
• Experience with Check Point firewalls.
• Advanced Cisco lifecycle management (IOS/NX-OS/XR/FTD).
• Cloud connectivity experience (AWS, Azure) in hybrid environments.
• Scripting with Python, Ansible, or Github for automation.

A prestigious company is looking for a Network Engineer. This role is focused on Cisco networking, Checkpoint, AWS, and Cisco NG ASA

Responsibilities:

• Support the network infrastructure lifecycle, including routing, switching, Cisco FTD firewalls, Cisco ACI, Checkpoint firewall, and cloud-based (AWS) solutions — covering deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
• Assist in implementing network changes to maintain security, performance, and compliance with governance frameworks (NIST-CSF, COBIT).
• Partner with vendors, carriers, and engineering teams to resolve issues and support large-scale projects. Maintain documentation and provide on-call support to help ensure reliability and business continuity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in technical discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers / cloud systems
• Strong foundation in Network protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and concepts (WAN/LAN/IP/VPN/IPAM/DNS), with the ability to apply this knowledge to expand and support existing network infrastructure
• Must have experience with Checkpoint firewalls.
• Advanced experience with Cisco network products, including lifecycle management (deployment, upgrades, and ongoing support) of IOS, NX-OS, XR, and FTD platforms
• Strong network troubleshooting skills to support day-to-day operations, including packet capture, analysis, and review.
• Experience supporting cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure) within a hybrid infrastructure environment
• Scripting experience (Python, Ansible, Github or industry equivalent) to support automation and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
