Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Network Engineer in San Antonio, TX to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and related technologies. You will provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier III support for network, server, virtualization, and storage environments.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching, VMware, Windows and Linux servers, and enterprise storage and backup solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing and switching.
• Experience administering enterprise firewall solutions.
• Proven experience with VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Experience supporting Linux server environments.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms and SAN technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure planning, system upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Contribute to security, availability, and performance improvements across the enterprise environment.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
