Job summary

Kforce has a client seeking an Enterprise Network Architect onsite in Tampa, FL. You will design, govern, and optimize complex network architectures across on-premises, cloud, and OT environments, while ensuring security, reliability, and governance.

You will lead initiatives, craft roadmaps, and collaborate with IT and OT teams to deliver scalable, secure networks with strong documentation and cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 10+ years in network architecture/design and 3+ years supporting both IT and OT environments.
• Required certifications: CCIE, CISSP, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, CISM, or equivalent
• Experience with IT/OT networking, SDN, network virtualization, architecture roadmaps, lifecycle management, and network design tools.
• Knowledge of TOGAF, Zero Trust, and defense-in-depth methodologies preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise network architecture across LAN/WAN, cloud networking, and security.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for network initiatives.
• Lead network security initiatives including segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop enterprise network roadmaps, standards, security frameworks, and lifecycle strategies.
• Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to deliver scalable and secure networks.
• May serve as project manager on network infrastructure projects and mentor peers.
• Maintain network documentation, architecture standards, and configuration governance

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Network Architect onsite in Tampa, FL.

• Directly accountable for designing and governing the enterprise and utility-specific network architecture to ensure alignment with business goals, technology strategies, and security requirements
• Provide strategically focused direction, technical leadership, and architectural oversight for all network-related initiatives, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, network security, and emerging technologies
• Ensure all network security controls are implemented and managed in accordance with appropriate security principles, industry best practices, and applicable industry standards, including NERC CIP regulatory compliance standards
• Partner and collaborate with infrastructure, operational, and other teams to effectuate scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures that support business and operational objectives and requirements
• May serve as a project manager on network infrastructure projects and cross-train peers and other department team members, supporting knowledge sharing and development
• Design, implement, and govern secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, IT, and OT environments
• Develop enterprise network roadmaps, standards, security frameworks, and lifecycle strategies
• Lead network security initiatives, including segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and compliance requirements
• Direct architecture projects, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations while partnering with business, engineering, operations, and vendors
• Establish governance, testing standards, risk management processes, monitoring strategies, and cybersecurity controls
• Maintain network documentation, architecture standards, and configuration governance
• Identify opportunities for modernization, optimization, and emerging technology adoption

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field

• Enterprise network architecture across LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, cloud, wireless, cellular, and data center environments
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, IPv4/IPv6, and network security
• Strong documentation skills, including network diagrams, standards, and architecture artifacts

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
