Job summary

NRI North America is hiring a Network Engineer to respond to level-two issues and handle escalations from the NOC or service desk. You will work with senior MSP staff to deliver proactive support for our managed client portfolio.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, monitoring-based resolution, minor upgrades, knowledge-base maintenance, and client communications. On-call rotation and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Cisco or other network environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership.
• Experience navigating ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
• Experience using monitoring tools (LogicMonitor).

Responsibilities

• Respond to level two issues and escalations from NOC or service desk.
• React and resolve cases submitted or alerted by monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and provide resolution options.
• Perform minor software upgrades on network infrastructure.
• Conduct proactive performance assessments and identify optimization opportunities.
• Aid team members in case resolution within the skillset.
• Assist with information gathering and reporting to clients or CS managers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to elevate issues as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and update knowledge base articles.
• Interact with clients via virtual meetings, phone, email, or messaging.
• Collaborate across Managed Services practice.
• Participate in on-call rotation; after-hours/weekend work may be required.

The Network Engineeris responsible forresponding to level two issues that arise and escalations from the Network Operations Center or service desk. This person will proactively work with senior members of the Managed Services practice to provide exceptional support for our managed client portfolio.

• React and resolve casessubmittedor automatically alerted by monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and provide solution options and recommendations.
• Perform minor software upgrades on network infrastructure.
• Conduct proactive performance assessments of clients' network environments,identifyingopportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Aid other team members in the resolution of cases within the scope of the skillset.
• Assistwith information gathering and reporting to either clients or Client Success Managers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to elevate issues as needed.
• Develop,maintain, and update technical knowledge base articles.
• Interact with clients on an as needed basis through virtual meetings, phone calls, email, or messaging.
• Collaboration with peers across Managed Services practice.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• After-hours / weekend work may berequired.

• 1 -3years in Cisco or other network related environments.
• Accountability to drive resolution to completion.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment and technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention todetailand sense of ownership.
• Experience working for an MSP.
• Advanceddegreeor relevant certifications in Information Technology, ora relatedfield are a plus.
• Have orworkingtoward entry level certifications,e.g.CCNA, Azure Fundamentals, etc.
• Experience navigating ticketing systems,e.g.Service Now.
• Experience using monitoring tools,e.g.Logic Monitor.
