Job summary

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to plan, implement, and maintain large enterprise networks across the Americas.   • Lead multiple projects for user groups ranging from 50 to 1000 users.
  • Deliver senior-level technical support for network sites and data centers (Las Vegas focus).
  • Apply updates, configure systems, and follow managed change procedures.

This position involves planning, implementing, and maintaining network systems, which covers activities like on-site assessments for new locations and providing operational support for current locations throughout the Americas. Responsibilities include regular updates, hardware refreshments, and carrying out work in data center environments to ensure the continuous operation of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have at least four years of hands-on experience with large enterprise networks and thrive in a fast-paced organizational setting.

Required Background and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s in a related computing field or similar practical exposure.
  • In-depth expertise with Cisco networking, especially large-scale switch and wireless rollouts.
  • Solid grasp of network routing, SD-WAN, firewall administration, voice solutions, network utilities, automation, and migrating services to cloud platforms.
  • CCNA certification is mandatory; higher-level certifications like CCNP are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience setting up and configuring network devices for over 4 years.
  • Facility for managing multiple responsibilities, particularly in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Proficient at deploying, adjusting, and supporting critical business network devices (switches, routers, access points, firewalls).
Professional Experience:
  • Skilled in multitasking and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in problem resolution.
  • Hands-on knowledge of administering formal change workflows.
  • Excellent communicator, both in written documents and orally.
  • Comfort with working remotely and on-site, with an understanding of the cultural factors in North, Central, and South America.
  • Effective in both independent and collaborative roles.
  • Experience segmenting networks is appreciated.
  • Certifications in firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Checkpoint, FortiGate) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Velocloud SD-WAN is an added benefit.
  • High-level knowledge of Cisco routing, switching, and wireless operations.
  • Extensive experience with the implementation, configuration, and issue resolution for network systems, including field surveys and procurement.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support with a global scope, becoming a subject matter expert in one or more areas (e.g., LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, Voice).
  • Collaborate with international IT teams and stakeholders, supporting networks across all phases from concept to ongoing maintenance—including hardware selection, configuration, roll-outs, documentation, and day-to-day monitoring.
  • Lead and oversee multiple, simultaneous projects (e.g., site launches, upgrades) for user groups ranging from 50 to 1000 users.
  • Deliver senior-level technical support for network sites and data centers, focusing on two principal locations in Las Vegas.
  • Regular activities include applying updates, configuring systems, and adhering to managed change procedures.
  • Utilize network tools for ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.Investigate root causes for network issues and implement solutions.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed, both locally and internationally, contingent on project requirements.
  • Respond to network-related alerts and coordinate incident escalation as appropriate.
  • Well-versed in voice technologies and their related protocols.
  • Provide change management support during designated on-call weekends.
  • Comply with organizational processes for change, incident, and problem management.
  • Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Consistently exceed basic role expectations and help drive team effectiveness.
  • Attend infrastructure change review meetings and clearly present or defend planned changes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and share knowledge to keep pace with technological advancements.
  • Maintain high levels of professionalism when interacting with team members and stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks collaboratively with direction from management or senior engineers.
  • Work across departments to ensure customer service remains a top priority.
