Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking a network engineer to maintain and optimize DoD networks, including VPNs, WANs, and data communications. You will document architectures, plans, and procedures while coordinating with teams and third-party providers.

This is an on-site role with travel up to 10% to support mission requirements. The position requires active DoD Secret clearance and DoD 8140 IAT Level II+ certification, with extensive Cisco IOS/Nexus experience and Firepower firewall expertise.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CCNP, CISSP).
• 4 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 2 years with a Master’s, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6 network design, IP subnetting, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco appliances, specifically Firepower firewalls and TACACS+ services.
• Familiarity with network management protocols (SNMP, SSH, syslog, RADIUS) and simulation tools (CML, GNS3).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
