Job summary

Footbridge Federal is seeking a senior Linux system administrator in Colorado to support lab and development environments. You will manage, patch, and troubleshoot Red Hat-based servers, implement upgrades, and ensure security compliance across virtualization and physical systems.

The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and DoD IAT Level II certification, with 5+ years in Linux administration. Travel is expected as needed, and RHCSA/RHCE certifications are preferred.

• 5+ years of systems administration experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong background in Linux system administration, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar enterprise distributions.
• Experience with OS-level package management, custom RPM creation, kernel/driver interactions, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers, lab hardware, user accounts, and file permissions.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat System Administration certifications (RHCSA or RHCE).
• Experience with LDAP integration in complex environments.
• Windows Server administration experience, including Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Familiarity with enterprise-level storage concepts.
• Experience supporting build and deployment environments, including build scripts and installation media.
• Basic networking knowledge, including subnets, routing, and VLANs.
