Job summary

DHT INFRA VOICE DATA NETWORKS in Dayton, OH is seeking a Network Engineer to design, install, and maintain LAN, WAN and UC networks. The role requires hands-on configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP, VPN and video conferencing, with emphasis on reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of network experience, CCNA/CCNP or equivalent, and a degree in IT or related field. This is a full-time, in-person position with possible 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 5–7 years of related network experience.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent Cisco certifications recommended.
• Experience with UC networks, VoIP, video conferencing.
• Ability to work in-person in Dayton area.
• On-call support for a 24/7 operation preferred (healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Design, install, administer and maintain LAN/WAN and UC networks.

NETWORK ENGINEER

Full-Time / 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Note: Candidates must be willing to commute and work "in-person" often at the Dayton, Ohio area offices

The Network Engineer position provides design, installation, administration and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and the Unified Communication (UC) network. Establishes a networking environment by designing system configuration and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards. Maximizes network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Configures and installs various network devices and services, like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, VoIP switches, VoIP gateways, contact centers, video conferencing and Quality of Service. Participates or may lead tactical network projects or service requests. Handles technical problems with little to no supervision and interacts with a variety of customers, vendors and consultants. Integrates technical skills with knowledge of the business to provide effective network solutions. Provides guidance and mentoring to colleagues and promotes teamwork.

Experience:

Preferred experience: On call support for a 24/7 operation. Healthcare Industry. Cisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and infrastructure
