Job summary

Comporium Communications seeks a network engineer to support enterprise objectives, assisting with voice/video/data systems and implementing secure, high-performance networks. You will configure, deploy, test and troubleshoot core LAN/WAN, VoIP, QoS, VLANs, and SBCs with oversight from management.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, supporting infrastructure deployments, and staying current with voice/data technologies.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree or equivalent; 2 years of related technical experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
• TDM or VoIP certification within 18 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Prepares project documentation including cost estimates and installation specs.
• Participates in implementations of new infrastructure and changes to existing networks.
• Maintains and updates network drawings, configurations, and project docs.
• Identifies areas for improvement on voice and data systems.
• Uses network monitoring tools for troubleshooting and guidance.
• Contributes to annual budget discussions for equipment needs.
