Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a Network Design Engineer to design and document a MILDEP Campus Area Network for the COMPMOD program. The role requires technical leadership to direct resources across design, documentation, and testing phases, covering CONUS Army installations.

The candidate should have 10+ years in a related role, CCNA certification, and strong experience with Layer 2/3 design, VLANs, VNIs, VRFs, and Cisco equipment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Cisco CCNA certification required.
• Experience directing technical resources in network design upgrades, configurations and cutover plans.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking including VLANs, VNIs (VXLANs), VRFs, and Cisco equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to deliver on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering assessments of different configurations and review work products for correctness and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with Project/Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
• Prepare milestone status reports and deliver presentations on system concepts to stakeholders.
• Adhere to Army engineering processes and submit site-specific reports/drawings for Government review and approval.
