Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking an IP Network Engineer to assess, test, and recommend solutions for DISN IP backbone networks at Fort Meade. You will design, review, test, and deploy MPLS services while ensuring security requirements for NIPRNET/SIPRNET are met.

The role requires DoD network expertise, CCNP/JNCIP-ENT level routing and a DoD 8570 IAT Level I+ certification, and a SECRET clearance. Onsite work at Fort Meade, MD is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Networking, Telecommunications, or related area required.
• CCNP-Enterprise or JNCIP-ENT or equivalent routing and switching experience.
• DoD 8570-01-M IAT Level I or higher (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, etc.).
• Extensive experience in IP networking with backbone routers and protocols.
• Minimum SECRET Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design reviews in DoD network projects and lab testing.
• Implement MPLS services (L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS, CsC) on the DISN network.
• Conduct security design reviews, risk assessments and contingency planning.
• Deliver test plans, test reports and field implementation guides.
• Provide Tier III engineering support to field operations.
• Conduct market research to identify products meeting requirements.
