What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain accurate provider demographics, networks, and related data with high accuracy and productivity
- Provide updates and information regarding changes in system support files to relevant personnel
- Assist in educating providers and staff on demographic and network data requirements
- Identify and resolve managed care issues related to claims and contract interpretation
- Assist internal departments with provider and member appeals related to network arrangements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year of provider network planning and/or process management or operations experience
- Strong knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze statistical data
- Understanding of managed care reimbursement strategies for healthcare providers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of business or healthcare gained through provider relations or healthcare provider file maintenance experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field
- One year of experience in medical claims auditing or provider data demographic processing
- Understanding of medical terminology and knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding
