XPECT Solutions, LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Network Configuration/Performance Analyst to support a Federal Government client. The role includes engineering support for a multifaceted network environment with multiple enclaves and classifications.

You will engage in Network Compliance and Monitoring activities as directed by the Project Lead. The ideal candidate has a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, hands-on Cisco networking experience, and familiarity with network monitoring

Qualifications

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Minimum 3 years of IT experience with networking focus and Cisco devices.
Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and ACLs.
Moderate scripting for network automation.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze enterprise networks.
Provide technical guidance to Government, Project Lead, and other Analysts.
Maintain awareness of trends and best practices in networks and security.

Job Overview

XPECT Solutions, LLCis looking for a Network Configuration/Performance Analyst on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for our large federal government agency’s highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.

The ideal candidate will engage with Network Compliance and Monitoring (NCM) activities as directed by the Project Lead, including performing updates in configurations and software that align with the strategies and directives of the engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

Monitoring and analyzing enterprise networks.
Provide technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analyst in support of monitoring and managing the customer networks.
Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to networks, technology and IT-related topics and provide recommendations to the Project Lead and Government on possible improvements or changes to customer systems and processes.
Provide high-quality and professional customer service in all interactions.
Use the Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to analyze and provide data and documentation related to the network performance of any or all network components.

Requirements

Active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI
Must be able to work onsite at customer facility
Position will start on Day Shift Mon-Fri and transition to Late Shift (1000 to 0630) after training is completed and account accesses are established. **Shift differential pay is provided for hours worked on Late Shift.**
Minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies, specifically with Cisco switches and routers and analyzing complex networks
Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems.
Must have good knowledge of general network and security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control lists.
Moderate skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks.

Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications

CCNA or higher certification
A.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area
Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail.
