CoreWeave is seeking an experienced Network Planner to lead strategic planning for backbone connectivity, procurement, and capacity management across the company’s global network. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure high-availability, scalable capacity and resilient design.

The role emphasizes vendor relationships, forecasting, and documentation, with a focus on DWDM/coherent optics and dark fiber solutions to support rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years in network planning for large-scale telecom or cloud networks.
• Experience with wavelength and dark fiber solutions.
• Forecasting, management, and optimization of capacity.

Responsibilities

• Capacity Procurement: collaborate with vendors and internal team to procure backbone capacity.
• Solution Review & Design: review proposed capacity solutions for fit and cost-effectiveness.
• Capacity Management: monitor and optimize existing circuits to prevent capacity exhaustion.
• Network Planning & Forecasting: develop long-term capacity forecasts and expansion plans.
• Vendor Relationship Management: negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Technical Documentation: maintain design and capacity documentation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: work with engineering, operations, product teams.
• Problem Solving: resolve complex capacity and performance issues.
• Industry Trends: stay updated on new network tech and vendor roadmaps.
