Job summary

Dell is seeking a Network Automation Engineer for a Federal customer in Chantilly, VA. This on-site role requires TS/SCI clearance and ability to collaborate with a Network Architect to deploy, automate, and sustain complex network infrastructure.

The successful candidate will implement changes through automation, deliver repeatable processes, and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, and platform issues using Python or Go, with Open vSwitch and RESTful APIs where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Candidates without existing required clearances will be auto declined.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes through automation.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configuration issues; including low level application interaction, rk Border and everything in between
• Work closely with the Network Architect to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assist with deployment and sustaining of network infrastructure and tooling
• Proficient in either Python or Go programming language
• Experience working with networking protocols and APIs, ideally Open vSwitch and/or any RESTful APIs for network devices and services
• Proficient in network topologies and architecture (VLAN
