Job description

• Develop network architecture to support client needs and evolving capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
• Analyze current network infrastructures
• Increase security, reliability, and availability for critical network systems
• Apply routing and switching, encryption gear integration, IP engineering, and network transport layer expertise
• Optimize client operations and modernization using network protocols, equipment, emerging technologies, and configurations
• Advise clients on mission-critical projects involving cryptography, key management, software firewalls, and hardware firewalls
• Support national security-related missions and critical space sensing systems
• Model bandwidth, data flows, and define data mission threads in MBSE
• Modify network topology diagrams using network diagraming software
• Install and configure network devices
• Monitor network performance, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection or prevention systems as applicable

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a network or data center systems engineer
• 3+ years of experience in network architecture
• Experience in network design, protocols, and infrastructure, including IPv4, IPv6, QoS, MPLS, or BGP
• Knowledge of network topology diagrams and modifying them using network diagraming software such as MS Visio
• Knowledge of STIG network device security compliance, security hardening requirements, and secure device access control login methods
• Knowledge of network security principles and practices, including Crypto, COMSEC, ViPER, or VOIP, to install and configure network devices
• Ability to develop network architecture supporting worldwide encrypted communications and model bandwidth, data flows, and mission threads in MBSE
• Top Secret clearance required
• Bachelor's degree
• Network+, Security+, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP Certification
• Nice if you have 2+ years of experience with missile warning systems or ground-based systems
• Experience with enterprise network management tools for network performance, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection or prevention systems
• Experience with Unix, Linux, RedHat, and RHEL version 6 or above
• Knowledge of basic data cryptographic techniques and government-classified networks
• Ability to design scalable and resilient network architectures in on-prem or cloud architectures
• TS/SCI clearance
