Job summary

Required qualifications include an Associate degree and basic network certifications (CCT, CCNA), plus 1+ years in network operations or desktop support. CJIS training and background checks apply; driving to job sites may be required.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing and LAN switching)
• 1+ years of experience with network operations or desktop support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain network asset information and lab organization.
• Provide semi-skilled field support to install, troubleshoot, and maintain network and voice systems.
• Maintain relationships with ET and unit representatives to address immediate needs.
• Provide basic support for standard network design, troubleshooting, and after-hours event support.
• Drive university owned vehicles to job sites as required and maintain driver rating.
• Identify problems with new network technologies and automation, and communicate with network engineers.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
