Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks an experienced Network Engineer to install, monitor, and maintain the university’s wired and wireless network infrastructure, while supporting telecommunications systems and related technologies.

The role requires five years of enterprise networking experience, CCNA or equivalent preferred, and a Pennsylvania driver’s license. You will analyze and resolve complex issues and contribute to infrastructure planning and security across university projects.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Network Administration, Computer Networking, or a related field


• Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure


• Experience supporting wired and wireless networking, switching, routing, firewalls, network access control systems, and telecommunications technologies


• Knowledge of enterprise wired and wireless networking technologies, including switching, routing, VLANs, and WAN connectivity


• Knowledge of network access control (NAC), authentication services, and network security concepts


• Knowledge of firewall administration, network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis tools


• Knowledge of telecommunications and voice communication systems


• Knowledge of network infrastructure hardware, software, and supporting technologies


• Knowledge of virtualization platforms and supporting infrastructure technologies


• Knowledge of information technology operations, procedures, and industry best practices


• Ability to analyze and resolve complex networking, wireless, telecommunications, and infrastructure-related issues


• Current and valid Pennsylvania driver's license


• Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered


• CCNA certification, or equivalent networking certification, preferred


• Additional networking, wireless, NAC, firewall, or telecommunications certifications are desirable
