Job summary

Jobtailor in United States (Glen Burnie, MD) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment across production environments. You will participate in on-call rotations and support hardware validation and network deployments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT infrastructure, CCNA or JNCIA, and strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree. Proficiency with Python or Ansible is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure.
• Required CCNA or JNCIA (ITIL Foundation is a plus).
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree.
• Experience with wireless networking, network monitoring, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to support production environments, on-call rotations, and break/fix activities.
• Experience creating technical documentation, network diagrams, and operating procedures.
• Familiarity with network deployments, site surveys, and hardware validation/testing.
• Python and Ansible scripting experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
