Job summary

SystemsAccountants Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as the primary business owner and functional lead for NetSuite and related business applications.

You will partner with executives to identify process improvements and translate operational needs into scalable system solutions. You will configure NetSuite functionality, manage data quality and reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across ERP processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading NetSuite/ERP implementations or large-scale ERP upgrades.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirement gathering skills.
• Ability to define functional specs, user stories, and process workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as business owner and functional lead for NetSuite and related apps.
• Partner with leaders to identify process improvements and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Configure NetSuite, including custom fields/records, saved searches, dashboards, KPIs, workflows, and CSV data management.
• Drive UAT strategy, test plans, defect management, and release readiness.
• Establish data governance and reporting frameworks across systems.

Job description

• Serve as the primary business owner and functional lead for NetSuite and related business applications.
• Partner with business leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and translate operational requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Configure and maintain NetSuite functionality including:
• Custom fields and records
• Saved searches and reporting
• Dashboards and KPIs
• Workflows and approvals
• CSV imports and data management processes
• Evaluate enhancement requests, prioritize business needs, and manage system roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, automation, data quality, and user experience.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across operations, project management, field services, finance, procurement, and executive leadership.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Develop business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process workflows.
• Collaborate with technical teams, consultants, and vendors to design and implement solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Validate delivered solutions against documented business requirements and success criteria.

ERP Implementation, Enhancements & Testing

• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, test plan development, execution, and defect management.
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple departments and integrated systems.
• Manage release validation, regression testing, and change readiness activities.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, acquisitions, and integration projects.
• Ensure business continuity and operational readiness during major system changes.

Data Governance & Reporting

• Oversee data quality initiatives and establish governance standards across key business systems.
• Lead data migration validation, reconciliation activities, and system cutovers for enhancement and transformation projects.
• Develop reporting frameworks and executive dashboards that provide actionable business insights.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Establish key performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Training, Change Management & User Enablement

• Develop and maintain business process documentation, SOPs, training materials, and knowledge bases.
• Design and deliver role-based training programs for office staff, project teams, and field personnel.
• Champion change management efforts to drive user adoption and process consistency.
• Provide escalation support for complex functional and business process issues.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
• Manage relationships with ERP, SaaS, and technology vendors.
• Evaluate software utilization, licensing requirements, and technology investments.
• Maintain visibility into technology contracts, renewals, and vendor performance.
• Support procurement and finance teams during contract reviews, budgeting, and renewal planning.
• Partner with IT, security, and compliance stakeholders to support access controls, governance requirements, and risk management activities.
