Qualifications

  • CompTIA Security+ certification required.
  • CCNA certification preferred; must obtain within 6 months.
  • Experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) environments and familiarity with ticketing/monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and infrastructure systems and respond to alerts and events.
  • Respond to incidents from initial triage through resolution.
  • Escalate incidents to higher-level technical teams as needed.
  • Troubleshoot network/infrastructure connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate and direct remote repair activities to maintain service availability.
  • Support infrastructure repairs and restoration activities.
  • Document root cause analyses per Government procedures.
  • Provide data center support when required.
  • Document daily shift activities in reporting/ticketing systems.
  • Maintain detailed incident/troubleshooting records.
  • Perform shift turnover/pass-down of unresolved incidents.
  • Provide incident notifications and status updates to Government representatives.
  • Work within established procedures, escalation paths, and SLAs.

NetOps Specialist Jr

Locations: Pearl Harbor, HI and Norfolk, VA

Position Overview

The NetOps Specialist Jr will support day-to-day network and infrastructure operations within a mission-critical environment. This position is responsible for monitoring network systems, responding to alerts and incidents, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring incidents are properly documented and communicated through resolution.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on network operations or NOC experience, experience working with ticketing and monitoring systems, and a foundational understanding of enterprise networking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor network and infrastructure systems and respond appropriately to alerts, alarms, and operational events.
  • Respond to incidents from initial triage through resolution.
  • Escalate incidents to higher-level technical teams when appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot network and infrastructure connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate and direct remote repair activities to maintain operational availability of services.
  • Support infrastructure repairs and restoration activities.
  • Perform and document root cause analysis in accordance with Government procedures.
  • Provide data center support when required.
  • Document daily shift activities within designated reporting and ticketing systems.
  • Maintain detailed incident and troubleshooting records.
  • Conduct proper shift turnover/pass-down of unresolved incidents and outstanding issues.
  • Provide incident notifications and status updates to Government representatives.
  • Work within established operational procedures, escalation processes, and service-level requirements.
Required Certification
  • CompTIA Security+
Preferred Certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (Must obtain within 6 months of starting)
