Job Title: Art Director
Location: Frankfort, USA
Hours: 8 Hours per day (10am – 5pm CST; Monday to Friday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and guide multiple art disciplines across all stages of development.
- Provide art direction and give ongoing feedback to the artist team and external vendors.
- Supervise, train, advise and motivate artists.
- Conduct regular reviews and one‑on‑one meetings to help team members reach optimal performance.
- Manage team performance, fostering autonomy, mastery and purpose.
- Create reference visual assets (concepts, models, overpaints) that establish visual direction and vision.
- Oversee art production, raising the visual quality of assets to meet and exceed internal standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry and market trends, make informed recommendations.
- Collaborate with the studio Art Director to own and define project‑specific visual aspects.
- Contribute to pipeline development for projects with specific creative and technical needs in partnership with engineering.
- Anticipate and identify problem areas, developing preventative solutions for the team.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to align schedules and plans with business and project needs.
- Liaise with senior management to ensure a healthy and strong team environment.
- Work closely with game design to ensure art enhances the player experience.
- Present designs to clients, partners or senior management for approval.
- Exemplify trustworthiness, accountability and professionalism in all work‑related interactions.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and sustainable work‑life balance.
Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to visually solve problems in collaboration with the wider game team.
- Solid foundation in concept art, traditional skills and graphic design principles – strong eye for light, value, composition, color and anatomy.
- Adaptable to a wide variety of visual styles, both stylized and realistic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to all levels of the company, stakeholders and publishers.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong desire to iterate and improve processes.
- Leadership fundamentals – clear and proactive communication, moderating meetings and overseeing large cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and stay self‑directed to meet deadlines in a fast‑changing environment with minimal oversight.
- Positive attitude with skill to give and receive objective and constructive feedback.
- Capable of training, managing, mitigating and prioritizing stressful situations for oneself and the team.
Education and Experience
- At least 4 years of video game creation experience.
- Minimum 3 years as a lead artist or art director.
- Experience working with an Art Director to develop a unique, cohesive visual style.
