Responsibilities

• Direct, lead, and manage more than one art discipline on a project team through all stages of development
• Offer art direction and provide feedback to the crew of artists and external vendors
• Supervise, train, mentor, and motivate artists
• Educate crew members to their top-line performance ranges, and ensure the crew receives regular reviews and one-on-one meetings
• Manage overall performance in the group in a manner that encourages autonomy, mastery, and purpose
• Create visual touchstone assets that encourage and set a visible path and imagination and foresight for others (concepts, models, paint-overs)
• Control art production and push the visual excellence of art assets so they're hitting and surpassing internal quality bars
• Keep contemporary and working knowledge of industry/marketplace trends, make suggestions as appropriate
• Partner with the Studio Art Director to personalize and define assigned factors of the project as directed
• Make contributions to growing pipelines for mission with specific innovative and technological desires in collaboration with engineering
• Expect, perceive, and present problem areas and increase preventative solutions for the crew
• Accompany production to ensure schedules and plans meet enterprise and project needs
• Accompany senior leadership to ensure crew is healthy and robust
• Work intensively with recreating layout to ensure art enhances player experience
• Present designs to clients, partners or higher leadership for approval
• Exemplify reliability, responsibility, and professionalism in all work-related interactions
• Lead by instance, develop a strong sense of purpose and network, promote a tradition of excellence and inclusivity, and encourage a sustainable art/art life stability

Competencies and Skills

• A validated capacity to visually resolve troubles in collaboration with the wider recreation crew including other artists, art leads, and design leads
• Strong basis in concept artwork capabilities, conventional art competencies, information in image layout concepts.
• Robust eye for light, fee, composition, color, anatomy.
• Capable of adapting to an exceptional variety of visual patterns whether or not stylized or realistic.
• Super written and verbal communication. Cozy interacting and providing to all levels of the agency, key stakeholders, and publishers.
• Tremendous attention to detail and strong choice to iterate and improve on strategies
• Show basics of leadership, together with clear and proactive communication, assembly moderation, and oversight of big cross-disciplinary tasks
• Capacity to manage multiple, competing responsibilities and be self-directed to fulfill closing dates in a fast evolving environment with little to no supervision
• High quality attitude and ability to receive and offer goal and constructive remarks
• Capacity to coach, manage, mitigate, and prioritize via stressful situations for you and your group

Role Type/Hours

Core hours: 10am to 6pm CST. Availability for meetings during this time is required.

Benefits

At Netflix, compensation is based on market indicators and individual experience. The market range for this location is typically $150,000.00 - $500,000.00, based on total compensation. This range largely depends on role responsibilities and individual background.
