Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on power systems up to 500kV across regional and national projects. Up to 75% travel; full-time; compensation up to $95/hour based on certification and experience.

Candidates must hold NETA III/IV, 7+ years HV testing, knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS, and familiarity with test gear (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF).

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV Certification (current and in good standing).
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF, and equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret test results and author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
