Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a union field technician to test and maintain electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest. The role covers switchgear, breakers, transformers and cables, with responsibilities to run high-voltage test sets and support outages.

Openings range from Level I to IV, and include a union benefits package and relocation option. Travel 50–75% is required; compensation is on a union scale DOE and relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• NETA certification or in-progress certification in electrical field.
• Experience with power factor or HV testing preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% to support field assignments.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
• Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
