Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a union field technician to test and maintain electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest. Openings range from Level I to IV, with a 50–75% travel requirement and relocation available.

The role requires NETA certification (or progress toward certification), and entails mentoring apprentices along with performing high‑voltage testing and maintenance tasks. Union benefits and pension are provided.

Qualifications

• NETA certification at any level or relevant electrical experience on the way to certification.
• Experience with power factor or HV testing preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
• Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
