True North Consultants, Inc. in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area is seeking a union field technician to test, inspect and maintain electrical power equipment across the upper Midwest.

Openings range from Level I through IV, with travel 50–75%, relocation available, and a union benefits package including medical, dental, and a pension plan. You will operate high-voltage test equipment and mentor apprentices and junior technicians.

Qualifications

• NETA certification at any level, or relevant electrical experience on the way to certification.
• Experience with power factor or HV testing preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Test, inspect and maintain switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run high-voltage test equipment, including power factor test sets.
• Commission new installations and support outages and emergency calls.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and junior techs (senior levels).
